Give the electrical first fix a cleaner start
Consistent chase depth
Even channels help conduit sit securely without proud or over-deep sections.
Box positions prepared
Routes and recesses can follow the agreed electrical layout before installation.
Less loose cutting dust
Integrated extraction captures dust close to the wall-chaser blades.
Orderly routes before electrical first fix
Electrical cables and conduit are easier to secure when the chase follows a straight route at a consistent depth. We cut channels and suitable recesses before the electrical installation and wall finish are completed. The layout can include horizontal or vertical runs, back-box positions and junction points agreed with the electrician. Professional chasing equipment gives us more control over width and depth than rough breaking. Vacuum extraction at the cutting point also helps reduce airborne dust while the route is prepared.

Chase sizes agreed with the electrician
Cable capacity, conduit diameter, wall construction and final plaster depth all influence the required channel. We use the installer's dimensions rather than cutting a standard groove and hoping everything fits. Existing concealed services must be checked before work starts, and the proposed route should follow the relevant project and safety requirements. Once the channels and recesses are complete, the electrician can install and secure the wiring before the surface is made good.
Frequently asked questions
Who decides the cable chase route?
The electrician or project design should confirm the route, box positions and required dimensions. We cut to that agreed layout after concealed service risks and wall construction have been considered.
Can you chase for conduit as well as cable?
Yes. We prepare routes for cable and conduit, provided the width and depth suit the wall and final finish. Send the conduit size, capacity requirements and installation layout before we quote.
Do you complete the electrical installation?
We carry out the agreed chasing and recess preparation. The electrician then installs, connects and secures the cables or conduit before the wall is finished. We confirm this handover point with you beforehand.
